Latest petrol prices in the UAE: July 2022

The United Arab Emirates is one of the top countries determining world oil prices. Until 2015, the UAE gasoline prices were among the lowest in the Middle East region. Some time later, the situation on the oil market changed, which caused an increase in the cost of diesel fuel and gasoline in the country.

The increase was part of the Government policy pursued by the UAE authorities regarding the deregulation of gasoline prices. In addition, the country's leadership created a special Fuel Committee under the Ministry of Energy, which also included representatives of fuel companies.

The Committee has been monitoring the world market for oil, gasoline, and diesel prices since 2016. Fuel prices in the UAE are calculated based on international oil prices and the Committee adjusts them on a monthly basis. Prices for the following month are announced on the 28th of each month.
