GDRFA approval is an official confirmation from Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA Dubai) that your immigration request (for example, an entry permit, residence visa, status change, or related residency services) has been reviewed and approved in Dubai’s system.

For applications issued outside Dubai, similar approvals are typically processed through the ICP portal (Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security), depending on the emirate and the service type.

To check your GDRFA Dubai approval status, use the official GDRFA “Application/File Status Inquiry” service: open the status inquiry page, choose Application or File, enter your application/file number (and the requested details such as nationality, date of birth, passport number, or transaction/payment date), then click Search to see the latest update.

First of all, check when the cheque bounced. Complaints are received within 6 months from the cheque bounce date. If this criteria is met, fill out a Cheque Execution Regulations Form available at the website of Dubai Courts and submit required documents, including a certificate of bounced cheque from your bank. All the documents must be in Arabic and must be certified. Be ready to pay 5% of the bounced cheque amount and the application fee AED 150.

In other emirates, apply at the website of the Ministry of Interior or Customer Happiness Centre.
