You can file a complaint either by downloading the application of DLD called Dubai REST on your Play Store or proceeding to the official website of DLD at dubailand.gov.ae

  1. Download Dubai REST 
  2. Click on “services”
  3. From the service options click on “register a real estate complaint”
  4. From the three options displayed, click on “real estate company violation complaint”
  5. From the new page it takes you hit “proceed to service”
  6. Then fill in the spaces with the required information then submit

Using the Dubai Land Department official website

  1. Visit their official website at dubailand.gov.ae 
  2. Right on the home page click on “RVS Complaint”
  3. Click on “ Real Estate Company Violation Complaint”
  4. Click on “Proceed to service”
  5. Fill all the required fields and submit

DLD complaint limitations

While laying your complaints with Dubai Land Department, there are service limitations like:

  • Rental issues are not handled by the Dubai Land Department because of no jurisdiction, instead it should be taken to the Center for Rental Disputes.
  • Rental issues will not be processed if the contract itself has lasted six months or less.

The issues below are also not resolved by the Dubai Land Department  because they don't have jurisdiction. They are:

  • Request for contracts cancellation
  • Request for compensation which is not within the DLD policies
  • Request for a refund of payments and some other issues relating to contracts

So, for these above, you need to visit any required and approved judicial authority to process the matter and provide solutions.
