Who can get the UAE transit visa?
Anyone who doesn't have any sort of travel ban and whose nationality is not among the visa on arrival nationalities and visa free countries is eligible for the UAE transit visa. Also, if you are from the UAE visa on arrival and visa free entry nationalities, you are eligible to get the UAE transit visa right at the airport on arrival. Most nationalities are eligible for a visa on arrival.
Duration of the UAE transit visa
The UAE transit visa is issued out either for a period of 48 hours or 96 hours. A 48 hour UAE transit visa is given free of charge. On the other hand, the 96 hour transit visa costs AED 50 (USD 13).
The UAE transit visa (48 or 96 hours) cannot be extended or renewed. Again, once the 48 hours transit visa is issued to you, it cannot be changed to the 96 hours and vice versa. So it's best to determine the one that suits you best and go for it. You must leave the UAE before the given transit hours elapse.

How to get a transit visa in UAE – step-by-step guide
UAE transit visas are available to travelers who are not eligible for visa-free entry or a visa-on-arrival, provided they have no travel bans.
If your nationality already qualifies for a visa-on-arrival, you may enter the country at the airport without applying for a separate transit permit.
