What is TASHEEL?

As a resident of the UAE, you must have probably come across the word “TASHEEL'' or rather “Tas’heel” in the raw form. You find it mostly common while dealing with issues relating to work permits, labour contracts, and other MOHRE employment transactions (and it may come up alongside residence visa steps, which are handled by immigration authorities).

TASHEEL is a network of MOHRE-approved service centers and channels that was created with the sole aim of handling and providing remedies for any labour or employment-related matters. This system is managed by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE). For entrepreneurs and employers involved in business setup in UAE, TASHEEL plays a crucial role in processing employment contracts, work permits, and labour-related transactions efficiently.

Please note: Tasheel is primarily linked to MOHRE processes in the private sector, while residence visa stamping and immigration procedures are handled by GDRFA (Dubai) or ICP (other emirates).

TASHEEL services

So it isn't just online based. Tasheel centers help individuals and companies submit and process MOHRE labour transactions (such as work permits and labour contracts). For formal labour disputes and complaints, it is best to use MOHRE’s official complaint and advisory channels, as the process is handled through MOHRE.

Work permit services:

• Work Permit replacement
  This generally refers to work permit and employment-related changes processed under MOHRE rules. The exact procedure and fees depend on the transaction type and your company’s labour file status, so it’s best to confirm the current requirements before applying.
• Getting a temporary work permit
  This system allows individuals (expats or UAE nationals) to work for a company for a short period limited to 6 months. Such a permit is provided by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE).
• Cancellation of work visa
  This happens when an employment visa gets cancelled either by the initiative of the employer or employee.
• Relative sponsor permit
  Work permit for a person sponsored by a family member (dependent sponsorship). This is like a no-objection confirmation from your spouse during the work permit application.
